Description

just a generic could be one thing or could be multiple things.

Tying Process

I don't think you need a SBS on this one....it's exactly what it looks like, nothing really special. a couple of notes: -For my base flex legs for the back color, I do prefer pink and red, but have had good success with colors across the spectrum (purple has worked very well for me in colored water, but as with everything, YMMV). -I always err on the side of too many legs off the back. Way easier to trim them back than add them on the water. -I rarely add any sort of flash to my carp flies, in some of the crystal clear waters we fish for them, it tends to spook them. Any flash comes from the natural materials (like peacock herl--if I use it-- and the hackle) and to some degree, the flexi legs (I have no clue what these things are called these days). Let's face it, most carp flies these days are some sort of play off John Montana's Hybrid (gotta give credit where credit is due), which is basically a dressed up soft hackle.
