Description

The Purple Haze is a modern variation of the Parachute Adams, originally developed by Andy Carlson, a guide on the Bitterroot River, Montana in 2006. This fly was designed to cover a wide range of mayfly hatches including Blue Wing Olives, Mahogany Duns, Green Drakes, and Tricos—all in one clean, high-floating pattern.

• Hackle: Brown or Furnace
• Parachute Post: Frizz fiber Parachute Post
• Tail: Deer Hair
• Thorax: Dry Fly Dubbing or Kapok
• Thread: Semperfi 18/0 Black
