Description
The Carey Special originated in the 1920s or 1930s in British Columbia. Its creation is attributed to Colonel Tho Carey and Dr. Lloyd A. Day, with some sources noting it was initially called "Monkey Faced Louise" before being renamed in Carey’s honor It was designed to target trout in lakes and ponds, particularly rising to emerging insects or small prey.
Tying Process
Body and ribbing colors can vary. Semi-seal dubbing and vinyl ribbing makes for a very durable body.
