Description
New to the streamer game, but extended mop has had charming effect on unpressured fish from the great basin to buffalo jump country. Over time my jig heads get smaller, and I don’t try to furl mop, but a trailer hook helps, especially when flies get past 1.5” or so. And the bigger sizes get chased hard. This is a very bright fly in white Mopster; prefer ‘Adams’. Haven’t fished black as much but certainly will. Shoutout KPAI, long live Marshall Tucker, pervert reference.
Tying Process
Tandem hooks are a pain for flies you want to feed into woody debris but I’m not sure what the good alternative is; 15” trout aren’t going to eat the whole thing at once. Heavier tippet, I guess. Mopster is squirrelly on the bench as it is in the water. More glue, I guess…
