Mar-Wing Rio Grande King — Rio Grande King

By Ray Burhart, submitted by GAT.
Description
This is another ancient one that was shown to me by my late friend and gentleman fly angler, Ray Burkhart. He used it with great success for 60 years. The original pattern used white duck quill but Ray modified it by using white marabou instead. For such a simple pattern it can work when all else fails. I even caught a catfish with it in an Oregon reservoir.
