Description

YBP stands for Yellow and Black Popper. This color combination works the best for me. When I first started tying the popper, I used pre-shaped cork and spray painted it yellow. I used hackle feathers for the legs and the skirt. When closed cell premade popper bodies showed up, I switched to those. Same goes for the synthetic leg material and the synthetic skirt. The legs are actually optional. My very first cork poppers had no legs and I tie the new ones with and without the rubber leg material. I'm not so sure they are necessary so I build the bugs with and without.

• Hackle: Black Body Fur
• Legs: Yellow round rubber leg material
• Other: Kickers: yellow Fish Fiber or similar synthetic fibers.
• Thread: Black or red
