Description

Clarence Gordon originated this pattern while he was working as a guide at North Umpqua's Steamboat Lodge. This fly has since been used successfully from Alaska to California

• Body: Rear third
• Body: dubbed with black lamb's wool
• Body: dubbed with red lamb's wool; the front two-thirds
• Hackle: Black
• Ribbing: Oval gold tinsel
• Thread: Black
• Tip: Oval gold tinsel
• Wing: Black squirrel tail
