Description
Fran Betters' Haystack was the progenitor of the comparadun fly.
Tying Process
Stack and tie in deer hair wing on top of hook, near eye, tips extending past hook eye, and spread wing out 180 degrees. Cut wing hair butts on a bias to create a taper and wrap over butts to bend of hook. Tie in deer hair tail, cut butts of tail on a bias and wrap over butts to create a tapered body. Dub body with fur and dub a little bump ahead of wing to prop wing up. Whip finish and SHHAN.
