Bluegill bully
By Terry and Roxanne Wilson, submitted by Ham.
Description
The Bully Bluegill Spider is a highly effective,, weighted subsurface panfish fly designed by Terry and Roxanne Wilson to mimic a falling spider, featuring a chenille body and long, fluttering rubber legs. It is designed to sink tail-first at a 45-degree angle, with the legs wiggling to trigger strikes from bluegill, bass, and other panfish
Tying Process
Start your thread on the hook and wrap it to the back. Tie in the lead or lead-free wire onto the hook and build a football-shaped underbody at the back of the hook. Secure the wire in place. Grab your chenille and strip back the fibers to reveal the core, then tie the core in and wrap the chenille forward to the hook eye. Secure it behind the eye. Take two rubber legs and fold them to make a loop. Tie in the bottom of the loop and wrap forward toward the eye. Then pull the loop back and make 3 wraps backward to secure it. Cut the loop to create four rubber legs. Whip finish and apply head cement.
